From when we started in 2006 to today we have been constructing walkways and cycleways, sometimes in the most remote areas of New Zealand. During this time there have been many highlights including working on Great Barrier Island constructing timber bridges and upgrading the track in the Kaiaraara Valley. The logistics of working away on an island was challenging but also extremely rewarding. We had 4 contracts over the years working on the island.
We have also built some of the longest suspension bridges in New Zealand in modern time on the Pureroa Timber Trail. We have had multiple contracts with the Department of Conservation at Pureora building bridges and developing the track to cycleway standards.
Another highlight of our work were the high spec boardwalks that were constructed at Legacy Park in Hamilton. The decking patterns consisted of herringbone and chevron.
Walkway Solutions have had multiple contracts with the Hauraki Rail Trail building around 90% of the bridges on the different stages over a period of 8 years working with Hauraki District Council and Matamata Piako District Council.
The Cooksons Kauri Track that starts at the Wainora Campsite in the Kauaeranga Valley Thames was another highlight. This is a 3 km track including 380 metres of box steps. It’s an enjoyable day walk with amazing views and you can get close to of one of the largest Kauri Trees on the Coromandel Peninsula.
We have received positive feedback from all our clients and the public who walk the tracks we have constructed.
Walkway Solutions has a history of being easy to deal with as is evident from our Testimonials.
