Testimonials

As a structural engineer, I was looking for a company for my clients that had expertise in building walkways in reserves and difficult locations. It is important that the company have the skills to minimise the impact on the environment and I heard that Walkway Solutions is known for their expertise in this area.

A major strength is their communication. For example, if a problem arose, they often had a solution but discussed it with me as the designer first rather than just trying to resolve it themselves. This gave me a chance to discuss possible alternatives to achieve the best solution. This built trust between myself and Walkway Solutions so that I now know that I don’t have to constantly supervise to get the desired result.

Walkway Solutions are also well known for staying to their programmes and budgets and very rarely require extensions of time and variations to the budget. This makes projects constructed by Walkway Solutions very easier to plan and manage.

If you are considering using their services for Tracks and Outdoor Visitor Structures I would highly recommend them.

Stellar Projects Auckland

Can you please pass on my thanks again to Allan and the guys. I am very happy with the results and feel your work has transformed the property immeasurably. It was a great pleasure working with you guys and having the crew on the land.

Although I know it was a pain dealing with the access (mud, diggers), the results are magnificent. Your attention to detail and nuance of the land when building the pathway is, in itself, a blessing on the land.

I saw a crew who were diligent, sensitive and dedicated to their craft. The tone and humour of everyone suggest that you run a good outfit and treat your people well. The short of it is that I have great respect and admiration for your people, the work you do and the business you run. I am honoured to have had you bestow your skills on the property!

Hi Walkway Solutions

I am a regular walker on Mt Victoria and I am delighted with your new track. Beautifully executed with no mess left and cleverly edged into the Maunga.

Congratulations on a job well done

Te Araroa Trust contracted Walkway Solutions to construct the Puhoi Track in 2013-14, opening May 2014.

The Puhoi Track is 5km long and had a number of unique challenges, passing through a number of ecologically sensitive areas and with some areas having geotechnical challenges. Construction included a swingbridge, construction of a small parking bay, a number of flights of boxed steps, a footbridge, stiles and benched, surfaced track.

On the day of the pre-tender briefing, Walkway Solutions stood out with Allan asking plenty of questions to gain a full understanding of the project and while we inspected the route taking more time and interest than any others Construction went smoothly and slightly ahead of schedule. Wherever complications arose, Allan would communicate swiftly with us and our design engineers and be quick to suggest practical solutions.

The entire Walkway Solutions team were always very well presented and took obvious pride in their work. It was always a pleasure to visit the site and observe the enthusiasm with which they worked.

I would have no hesitation working with Walkway Solutions again and/or recommending them to others for high-quality work and competitive pricing. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss further if you require.

Yours sincerely,

The Committee members of the Lions Tree Grove have found Allan at Walkway Solutions to be most helpful and professional during the process of developing the tracks for our area at TECT All Terrain Park. Communication was polite, pleasant and professionally handled.

We asked to have various tracks individually quoted; this was done accordingly with the quotes easily followed. We were included in all sight inspections and the work would not commence until all matters were addressed by both the TECT All Terrain Park Management and the Lions Tree Grove Committee.

Specified dates were all adhered to and the work was completed within the time frame given.

The work was completed to a high standard and Allan with his team was prepared to go the extra mile.

We, therefore, would certainly recommend Walkway Solutions and if in the future the opportunity arose, we would have no hesitation in using their services again.

Yours truly,

Phyl Hawkins.

Walkway Solutions have carried out numerous track and structure construction projects for the Department of Conservation over the past 10 years. This work has included small and large track reconstruction, wooden bridges and structures, right up to 109 metre and 115-metre suspension bridges in a remote location.

Their work has always been to a high standard and carried out by workers who are well resourced, very organised, and managed by a skilled management team.

I would have no hesitation in using this company again.

The Motutapu Restoration Working Plan saw the development of tourism and recreation as being an important part of the plan and a significant component of the restoration programme. It suggested that walking should be promoted as the primary recreational facility and that a network of walking tracks should be developed to explore and discover the history of the island and to experience elements of the restoration project as it progressed.

The Rotary Club of Newmarket advised the Department of Conservation and the Motutapu Restoration Trust that it was interested in supporting the development of walking tracks to mark the centennial year of Rotary International in 2005. As a result the Auckland Conservancy prepared the “Rotary Centennial Motutapu Walkway Concept Plan” which envisaged a walkway network which could be completed in stages to meet budgetary constraints and which met New Zealand track standards for grades, marking, width, surfacing, steps and other structures.

The latest stage of the walkway development – “The Home Bay Stream Bridge” was completed by Walkway Solutions at the end of 2013 and provided tourists to the island with the opportunity to walk the “Home Bay Loop Track” in a leisurely two hours.

Earlier stages of the Home Bay Loop Track were also constructed to the demanding Department of Conservation standards by Walkway Solutions with funding from the Walking Access Commission. This track gives visitors access to the restoring forest and enjoyment in the returning bird life complemented by elevated and magnificent views of the Hauraki Gulf.

It has been a great pleasure to work with Walkway Solutions who have proved to be exceptionally professional and knowledgeable on track and bridge construction. Their advice, cooperation and attitude to the project was greatly valued as they quickly became part of the team rather than an independent contractor.

We at TMBC just want to thank Allan, Nicky and the team at Walkway Solutions for the great work you have done installing the two Karaka bridges for us.

We appreciate your professional approach from Allan’s advice to the finish of the bridges. The minimal damage to the surrounding vegetation was outstanding and making the ramps and extra track work fit into our budget was very much appreciated.

As soon as we have gathered some more funds to continue further we will be in contact.

Thanks again
