This track leads up to the Cathedral Cove walkway from the beach carpark. It was an upgrade to improve the width of the track, drainage and to remove pine tree roots that had come up in the middle of the track.
There was 721 metres of metal track and 74 metres of new box steps to be built. Due to its location and the steepness of the track, we opted to fly in the metal to complete the work.
The challenge of this site was the ground being super hard making it difficult to work with. One section of track was tar sealed, it had no suitable vehicle access, we modified equipment to enable this work to be completed.
